OUR ORIGINS

SAITOWORKS® founder Jon holds a strong passion for design, all things Japan and above all else, Japanese cars. The initial spark for Jon started on June 24th, 2006 on his 13th birthday to watch The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift. A love for Japanese cars and the Nissan Silvia was born.

The following 11 years Jon endeavoured on his journey with graphic design, networking and building a wealth of knowledge unknowingly with the thought of starting his own brand, until 2017 when he attended Japfest with a few friends to promote his new friends-based car club, SaitoWorks Finesse, from that day, the response, the idea, the brand was born and has since grown to encompass premium apparel, Japanese accessories, automotive decals and much more.

OUR VALUES

OUR HISTORY

2018

INTO THE LIGHT

Like most businesses, SaitoWorks was no different—I started it from my bedroom. I had a vision, and I stepped into the light to bring it to life.

SaitoWorks actually began as a small car club for friends, a place for like-minded enthusiasts to connect, grab food, and enjoy calm, respectful meets where we could talk about everything automotive. Then it hit me: this was what I wanted to pursue in life. That’s the moment the SaitoWorks brand was truly born.

2019

FULL-TIME

Dropping from £35k to £12.5k—going full-time came with its own set of challenges.

Taking the plunge at 24 was a massive risk. I had responsibilities, no guarantees, but a determination to make this work. The brand saw strong early success, but working a full-time job while trying to fulfil customer orders drained the time and energy I needed to grow SaitoWorks the way I envisioned.

2020

NEW HEIGHTS

That leap of faith sparked unprecedented growth—and it eventually led to securing our first warehouse.

Taking on our first unit was a step I desperately needed to make. My entire house was at breaking point; sleeping next to my stock was far from fun, but it was part of the journey. Things had to change. We finally reached a position where taking on our first lease made sense, and that move opened the door for real growth, structure, and the organisation we needed to reach new heights.

2021

EXPONENTIAL GROWTH

During the height of Covid, we experienced a huge spike in exponential growth.

It was undeniably a difficult year for many people—myself included. But I think the turning point for the brand came from the fact that more people were at home, investing time into their pride and joy, finally building the cars they’d always envisioned. With everyone having more free time, demand soared, and as a result, SaitoWorks grew exponentially.

2022

BRAND FOCUS

I made the decision to execute a full rebrand and restructure of the business, putting a long-overdue emphasis on delivering truly premium goods.

This became the defining turning point for SaitoWorks—a moment where everything changed. I leaned fully into my design background and began shaping the brand into the vision I’d always held for it. Every detail mattered. I approached each element with an “overkill” mindset, creating only products I would proudly buy myself.

That philosophy is what pushed us beyond being “just another car brand” and turned SaitoWorks into a real industry contender—built with intention and ready for the years ahead.

2023

TRADE SHOWS

One of my favourite years to date—and the beginning of our trade show journey.

It was something I’d always wanted to do, but I waited until the time was right. In the early stages, it didn’t feel like the brand was ready to take that leap, especially before the 2022 rebrand. But in 2023, everything aligned. We finally stepped into the spotlight, attending Japfest at Silverstone in April, followed by the Gravity Show at the NEC in August.

Those two shows changed the course of the brand forever.

2024

ALL ABOUT GRAVITY

After the unanimous success of 2023, it was time to double down.

Trade shows taught me one crucial lesson: first impressions mean everything for a brand like mine. It’s never just been about selling products—it’s about selling an experience. Turning up to Gravity 2024 with the same setup as the previous year simply wasn’t an option. So I made a major investment to ensure both new and returning customers received something unforgettable—a miniature slice of Japan in the heart of the NEC.

And the reception was incredible.

2025 PART 1

LIVING THE DREAM

“What a journey. Manifestation is a very real thing—winning Best Exhibition Stand at Gravity Show 2025 has been my greatest achievement to date.”

2025 was a make-or-break year for me. After a break-in in July, Gravity had to be a success. Ever since we started trading at shows in 2023, I’d set myself a three-year goal: to win Best Exhibition Stand at Gravity in 2025. With my background designing events for brands like Samsung and Nvidia, I poured everything I had into this year’s setup, determined to outperform the biggest names around me.

Hearing comments from Forge, BC Racing, and Drift Games—and then taking the top spot by a clear margin—was surreal.

A massive thank you goes out to my team, my friends, and my family. None of this would have been possible without the right people and the right mindset surrounding me.

2025 PART 2

STORE OPENING!

7 years in the making, dream store opening!

My vision, from day 1 was to open my very own drive-in retail store. As of the 12th October, 2025, we achieved that. A retail store like no other, authentic in design, built for the community, the SAITOWORKS Konbini was finished, opened and incredibly well received, we look forward to seeing you there!

OUR EXPERTISE

That’ll do will never do

OUR OBJECTIVE

It’s my mission not only to focus on the product, but on the experience that surrounds it. Every item we create carries a core focus and an “overkill” mindset—pushing standards and keeping the rest of the industry on their toes, while meeting the expectations of customers who demand truly premium, automotive-inspired merchandise.

I’ll continue to strive to uphold our mantra, “For Car Enthusiasts, By Car Enthusiasts,” in everything we do—keeping the spirit of car culture alive, respectful, and tightly connected for the years ahead.
